About us


We are the 2nd EPAL Evosmou, located in Evosmos, a municipality in the western part of Thessaloniki, Greece. Our National Coordination Unit is IKY (State Scholarships Foundation). 

Through this blog, we aim to connect with future and current partners by sharing our work, projects, and collaborations within the field of European programs.

We received an award from EOPPEP (National Organization for the Certification of Qualifications and Vocational Guidance) for our contribution to issuing Europass in 2015. We also hold Erasmus VET accreditation and have been honored with the European Innovative Teaching Award 2023. Additionally, we won a Gold award at the Healthcare Business Awards 2019.

Investigating Teachers' Participation in Erasmus+: The Case of 2nd EPAL Evosmos as a Hosting Institution

The impact of Erasmus+ programs on teachers' professional development is a crucial area of study. Our latest research focuses on the participation of educators in Erasmus+ mobility projects, particularly within the framework of activities hosted by 2nd EPAL Evosmos.

This study explores key aspects such as teachers' motivations for engaging in Erasmus+ programs, the benefits they gained, and their overall impressions of our school as a hosting institution.
